The Britannia Maverick English Pool Cue showcases the perfect balance of craftsmanship, style, and performance. Each full-size 57″ (145 cm) ¾-jointed cue is crafted from top-grade ash, season-dried and hand-selected for exceptional straight grain and rigidity. The ebony butt is hand-spliced with four Tulipwood splices, each backed with triple black and white Sycamore veneers. A stunning design known as the Royal Splice.
Precision Engineering
A high-tensile machined quick-release brass joint sits at the ¾ position, ensuring smooth, accurate, and reliable connection every time. This design allows for quick setup and exceptional control during play.
The matching brass ferrule reinforces the ash tip and supports smaller 8–8.5 mm tip sizes, giving you precise ball control and enhanced feedback on every shot. Each cue comes fitted with a medium Grand tanned leather tip, perfectly compressed for immediate play.
Adaptable Length and Control
For maximum versatility, the Maverick includes a weighted 6-inch (15 cm) mini butt that fits into both joints.
Whichever setup you choose, the cue maintains perfect balance and feel.
Distinctive Design
Every Britannia Pro cue is finished by hand, with a smoothed butt flat and adorned with Britannia’s engraved Mother of Pearl disc badge. A signature mark of craftsmanship and authenticity.

For the price the Maverick cue is excellent, the but and the shaft have a very nice smooth finish. The splices on the but are fantastic even and look amazing, the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The shaft has some flex to it so if you have a powerful break you would definitely want a separate break cue, but for me it’s not an issue, the grain on the shaft has an amazing finish. The only thing for me is the medium Grand tip is a bit harder than I’m used to. Overall it’s an amazing cue and I’m enjoying using it.
All good and shortage was put right very quickly and efficiently!
